Welcome to our ‘Travels with d’Hobby’ blog.

d’Hobby is the name we have given the motorhome we are using to tour Europe during 2012/2013.   It is a 2001 Hobby 650 Fiat Ducato 2.8L tdi, and we have dubbed him “d’Hobby” in honour of ‘Dobby’ the faithful house elf in the Harry Potter stories.

We have moved all our travel blogs since May 2012 from Google+ and Facebook on to this one web page.  We have found that neither of those mediums suited our purposes exactly, which is for us to post varying length updates on an irregular basis, and for our family and friends to log on as and when they feel like it to catch up, if ever.  That gives total flexibility both ways, depending on people’s interest and attention spans.

Each episode is listed in (more or less) date order on the home page, latest first, and we will add to it as we go.  Photos are inserted in the text where relevant.
